Continued growth in Midtown submarket
Education Management Systems, a software company that specializes in cafeteria meal management for school systems across the US, has relocated its office space into more than 19,000 SF at Barclay Commons, an office-retail complex in midtown Wilmington, NC. “Our company is growing, and our five year business plan stipulated the need for more office space,” said Ben Hooks, CEO of Education Management Systems.
The firms’s software allows parents and students to pay for meals online, as well as measuring other required metrics for the cafeteria meal plans under the “Meals Plus” brand name. Specific solutions include: Point of Sale, Inventory Management, Menu Planning and Financial Services. Education Management Systems signed a 7-year lease at Barclay Commons.
Hill Rogers of Cameron Management represented the Landlord, Barclay Group, LLC in this lease transaction, while Lynn Harris of Century 21 Sweyer & Associates represented the Tenant. Cameron Management was the original developer of Barclay Commons.
