Kessebohmer USA Launches Wilmington Distribution Center
CAMERON MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCES LEASE TRANSACTION
WILMINGTON, NC – September 24, 2015: Hill Rogers, Broker-in-Charge with Cameron Management, Inc., is pleased to announce the lease signing of Kessebohmer USA, Inc. at 2975 Andrew Jackson Highway in Leland, NC.
“Kessebohmer USA has signed a lease for 60,000 square feet in the former DAK America warehouse located on US Highway 74 in Brunswick County. Kessebohmer is a diversified manufacturer of furniture fitting systems, which includes providing products for the kitchen storage industry, furniture systems for the motorhome industry, product presentation systems and ergonomic office furniture,” says Rogers, who represented Kessebohmer in this lease transaction.
Kessebohmer’s USA sales division has been headquartered in Wilmington since 2007 and having a distribution center in the Wilmington area has long been a goal according to its Managing Director David Ivey. “We have been silently canvassing industrial properties for over 2-years and really decided to make this a reality within the last 12-months” says Ivey. “With this new location, we will close and relocate our facility from New Jersey and service our domestic customers from this new warehouse.”
The industrial warehouse is owned by LBP Leland, LLC, an affiliate of Lord Baltimore Properties. Lord Baltimore is the developer of Brunswick Forest, a 5,000 acre master planned, mixed community on Highway 17 in Leland. “Lord Baltimore is a world class developer and Landlord, and it was a real pleasure to work with them on this transaction,” added Rogers.
Will Leonard of Cape Fear Commercial, who represented the Landlord noted, “The warehouse is a tremendous facility consisting of over 500,000 SF of Class A industrial space. This location is outstanding and the forthcoming opening of the new 17 bypass will further enhance this property’s positioning in the industrial marketplace. We are very excited to have Kessebohmer as a tenant.”
