New Anchor Tenant and Renovation completed at Ogden Plaza
Ashley Furniture Homestore to add second flagship store in Wilmington
Ogden Plaza Shopping Center recently completed major renovations to accommodate a new anchor tenant, Ashley Furniture Homestore. This is their second flagship Wilmington location for Ashley Furniture Homestore and local owner Herbie Walton. The new Ogden Plaza store, at 33,000 SF replaced the existing 12,000 SF outlet store located at 6508 Market Street.
“We are very excited to have Ashley Furniture as our lead to tenant which enabled us to embark and complete much needed renovations to Ogden Plaza. This geographic location is second to none in the Ogden trade area, which will only be enhanced when the NCDOT improvements are completed. That said, the shopping center was in true need of an update. There is an entirely new facade on 80% of the shopping center, with new store fronts, deeper canopy and enhanced hardscape features,” says Hill Rogers of Cameron Management, which provides leasing and management services for Ogden Plaza.
BMH Architects was the project architect and Montieth Construction was the General Contractor overseeing the improvements.
